November 2010

Dear MKC Members,
We would like to thank all of you who contributed prizes for the April 2010 showAgain you have displayed your generosity in donating to our many awards making our trophy table the best of the Cluster.
If you would like to make a pledge/donation for the November 2010 show,
please let us know no later than Monday, June 28.
For those of you who are new and would like to participate, we just need the following:
1)  Breed (ie Kerry Blue Terrier)
2)  Class (ie Best of Breed)
3)  Item description (ie Breed Grooming Apron).
The description needs to be rather specific as AKC will not accept just Breed Item.  If you do not know what you'd like to contribute, you can just say Item Value and amount.  That gives you the flexibility to purchase something later at your convenience.  If you'd like for us to do your shopping for you, we will be glad to do that too.
Thank you.

A brag from the Sheltie Krewe and Collie Boys:
Cisco and Clipper want to brag on their trip to Murfreesboro.  They had a great time.  Clipper said mom did some front crosses.  He didn't fall over mom or mom over him.  He has some pretty runs but no "Q"'s.  He did manage to run faster.  Cisco said she did good.  On her first standard run she tried the teeter at the wrong time so she blew the teeter until Sunday when mom offered her turkey balls.  Then her teeter was beautiful.  She did her weaves perfectly 5 out of 6 times.  She blew one thing every run except her Friday's JWW run when she gave mom a "Q" for her birthday.

The Sheltie Krewe and Collie Boys are reporting in after a very stormy Saturday in Huntsville.  Cisco [Aynsworth Cisco's Cool Breeze] came home with several "Q"s and first places with only a few Sheltie yaps.  Two of these "Q"s resulted in new titles.  She now has her NADAC S-TN-N title [Superior Tunneler Novice Certificate] and her NADAC HP-N title [Hoopers Novice title].

Clipper [Caublestone's Uncharted Waters] wants every one to know that a smooth collie can run.  He started mom's weekend with a "Q" in NADAC's regular agility course.  He also received several places [you get places for clean runs but slow speed].  One time he got a first but no "Q".
Murphy [Sirron's Beyond Glory] said she had lots of fun entertaining every one in tunnelers.  She did her favorite things Sheltie spins and yapping at mom.  Mom did manage not to trip over her.  She had two clean runs with places but she spent too much time yapping to "Q".
Every one had a great time at a great trial.

The Sheltie Krewe and Collie Boys are reporting in from Busy Hattiesburg.  There was lots of excitement at Hattiesburg going on at the agility trial with a rock concert and carnival going.  But despite everything Cisco [Aynsworth Cisco's Cool Breeze Shetland Sheepdog] showed her mommies that she really does know how to do weaves.  She had some real nice runs but no "Q"s.  Clipper [Caublestone's Uncharted Waters - Smooth Collie] on the other hand proved to every one he could run courses under time.  He even checked the table in the standard ring and found out no one had peed on it so he could do a sit on it.  On Saturday, he gave mom a big surprise - he "Q" in Novice Jumpers with Weaves Preferred with a second place AND his title PLUS it was under course time.

The Sheltie Krewe and Collie boys are reporting in from the HOTC agility trial in Priceville this past weekend.  Cisco [Aynsworth Cisco's Cool Breeze (sheltie)] says she had some nice runs.  She said could have "Q"ed if she only had to do ten weaves but the judge said no go you have to do twelve.  Her brother, Clipper [Caublestone's Uncharted Waters (smooth collie)], said let me show you how to do it.   On Saturday Clipper decided it was safe to sit on the table and came home with another leg toward his Novice Agility Standard Preferred title and first place.  He also showed his sister that he can do twelve weaves in Open jumpers.
