The Montgomery Kennel Club was formed in 1956 and is a non-profit organized kennel club sanctioned by the Americal Kennel Club and follows the rules and regulations of the AKC.

The Montgomery Kennel Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm, in the             Goodwyn Community Center at 205 Perry Hill Rd., in Montgomery, Alabama.

A potential member must attend two meetings of the kennel club after turning in their completed application before the board can vote on membership.

Two AKC sanctioned dog shows are sponsored annually, Spring & Fall.
Shows are held in Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, AL.  and are open to the
public with free admission. The shows offer both conformation & obedience competition. These shows are a wonderful opportunity to see the various levels of dog training and to enjoy the beauty of a sound, healthy, well-bred animal. The public can learn about different breeds of dogs by visiting with the exhibitors and breeders at the show.
